A man who sexually assaulted a teenage girl and exposed himself to her in Blackpool is being hunted by police.
The man approached the 14-year-old on Central Drive and asked her for a cigarette before the pair started talking.
The victim walked with the man and they ended up in an alleyway where he touched her over her clothes and exposed himself.
She was left near the McDonalds on Bank Hey Street following the incident, at around 9.45am on Wednesday, before later reporting it at school.
Police have today issued CCTV images of the man in a bid to identify him.
Det Insp Gareth Willis, of Blackpool CID, said: “While this girl has initially gone willingly with this man she has subsequently been subjected to what must have been a frightening ordeal.
“Thankfully this incident was not more serious but it should serve as a timely reminder to youngsters not to go with, accept gifts from or get in a car with anyone they don’t know.
“I would appeal to anyone who recognises this man or who has any information about who he might be to get in touch with us.
“I would also appeal to the man himself to come and speak to us if he sees this appeal.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting log number 420 of June 17.
