Huge fire at industrial estate in Preston

A major fire has broken out at an industrial estate in Preston.

Firefighters were called to Recycling Lives on the Redscar estate off Longridge Road at around 9.30pm on Thursday.

Fifteen crews were drafted in to battle the blaze at its height and firefighters remained at the scene on Friday.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue tweeted that: “The cause of the fire is unknown and firefighters will continue to work into the daytime on Friday to put the fire out.”
