Palatine Leisure Centre could re-open on Monday, Blackpool Council’s Family Information Service said.
The facility, in St Annes Road in South Shore, was closed last weekend following an electrical fire.
A council spokesman said whether or not it opens on Monday depends on planned maintenance work ‘going to schedule’.
The two other leisure centres operated by Blackpool Council, Moor Park in Bispham and Blackpool Sports Centre next to Stanley Park, remain open as normal.
Exercise classes usually held at Palatine have been transferred to Blackpool Sports Centre but some have been cancelled.
Gym appointments are also being moved where possible, and the gym at Moor Park is opening at 6.30am during the week on a temporary basis to help cater for the demand for facilities there.
Casual swimming sessions will also start there from 6.30am, also on a temporary basis, until Palatine reopens.
