A flood warning has been issued in Blackpool.
Strong winds mean there is a risk of waves crashing on to the Promenade on Saturday when the tide is highest.
A less severe flood alert was in place along the Fylde coast, up to Fleetwood, in the early hours of Saturday
High tide is forecast for 12.25pm in Blackpool, and water levels will be high for around two hours before and after that time.
The area covered by the flood warning stretches from South Shore up to North Pier.
An Environment Agency spokesman said: "Strong onshore winds will cause wave over topping along the Blackpool coastline.
"The tide on Saturday is forecast to peak around 12:25pm. High water can be expected for two hours before and after the peak."
Blackpool Council is urging people to 'take care and avoid the Promenade' while the warning is in place.
