Lancashire Care Trust is now a recognised member of the national Dementia Action Alliance, a group which aims to improve the lives of people living with dementia.

Teams from across Lancashire Care – including those based on the Fylde coast – are celebrating joining the alliance and raising the profile of dementia as part of Dementia Awareness Week.

The whole trust is now signed up to the national dementia declaration, which centres around seven outcomes.

Dr Amanda Thornton, of the Trust, said: “We’re really pleased to be part of the Dementia Action Alliance as it demonstrates our commitment to improving services and resources for people living with dementia and their carers.”
