The search is now on to find the owner of the winning ticket, bought in Wyre, who matched five numbers and the bonus ball in the Lotto draw on Saturday July 7.

The winning Lotto numbers were 5, 22, 23, 30, 33, 45 and the bonus ball was 6. The lucky ticket-holder has until Thursday January 3 2013 to claim.

If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to The National Lottery Good Causes.

A spokesman said: “This amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life.”

To jog Lotto players’ memories, tennis fans will remember Serena Williams played Agnieszka Radwanska in the Ladies’ Singles final at Wimbledon on the day of the draw. Away from sport, locals may have visited the Grand Theatre in Blackpool to see a production of Doctor in the House.
