SCOUTS, Beavers and Cubs learned valuable lessons while celebrating the birthday of their founder.
Lord Robert Baden-Powell, founder of the Scout movement, is celebrated annually with a community event.
More than 250 youngsters and young adults from groups across the Blackpool District were entertained and educated by police officers, road safety officers and volunteers from the lifeboat station on Saturday afternoon.
Representatives from the charity PDSA, paramedics and nurses and people manning craft stalls were also on hand to keep children busy at 18 different bases around Revoe Primary School, Blackpool.
Scouts sang Happy Birthday and Scouts Own to celebrate Lord Powell’s birthday.
The afternoon was also an opportunity for the Beaver Scouts to gain their Friendship and Global Challenge Award.
Entry to the event was by donating an item to the PDSA, with a haul of pet food and blankets handed in for the veterinary charity.
Pat Edwards, Assistant District Commissioner, said: “It’s wonderful all the things they donated.
“Everyone had a great time.”
