Blackpool North Shore Golf Club opened its doors to help Blackpool Ladies Sick Poor Association (BLSPA) celebrate its 125th anniversary.
Golfing fun was enjoyed in glorious sunshine and the course was in excellent condition.
The ‘halfway house’ was well stocked by members of BLSPA and was busy, meaning all participants were kept motivated and refreshed.
An evening meal and presentation followed with 102 people attending and the great sum of £2,135 was raised due to a super raffle and special prize donations.
All the proceeds will go directly to helping people in need in Blackpool.
Chairman Shirley Appleby said: “Sincere thanks to all those who helped to make this such a successful day and very special thanks to all our generous friends and supporters Blackpool North Shore Golf Club.”
Blackpool Ladies Sick Poor Association also held its Annual General Meeting in its 125th Year at the Cliffs Hotel.
President Mavis Colman was in attendance accompanied by her husband Blackpool Mayor Coun Ian Colman.
Members of local health and other organisations who were represented at the AGM spoke about the invaluable help given by BLSPA to families and individuals in their time of need.
