Get kitted out like Hospuss for Run!

If you’re going to smile for the camera and hundreds of wellwishers along the route, then you might as well look the part.

Runners taking part in the Beaverbrooks Blackpool 10k can now get kitted out in proper clobber to show their support for Trinity Hospice.

There are always lots of Trinity T-shirts in evidence, but this time the Hospice has gone a step further and launched its own range of running vests and water bottles to make sure the Trinity name really stands out as the runners get into their stride.

Trinity’s not-so-sporty mascot Hospuss has his own extra, extra large version, but there are colours and sizes to suit everyone.

Linzi Young, Head of Fundraising, said: “We had been asked on several occasions for branded running gear and decided to get some designed to sell before the 10K.

“We often have people running for us in a range of events across the UK, and although our T-shirts are popular the more serious runners wanted a proper running vest.

“Hospuss has a vest but if he enters the race we’re not expecting a record breaking time from him.

“Selling merchandise like this helps to raise a few extra pounds for the hospice too and is a good way to mark our 30th anniversary.”

Branded running vests, sweatshirts and water bottles are available to buy online or from the Hospice in Bispham – they also have a range of special tops for cyclists too.

Entries for the May 10 run, starting and finishing at the Hilton hotel, have already topped the 450 mark.

Last year’s winning time was around 34 minutes – but hundreds of fun runners take it more slowly. For more details see the Trinity Hospice website https://secure.trinityhospice.co.uk/eventbooking/funrun2015/
