Hundreds of people gathered to enjoy the biggest Staining and Normoss Gala staged for years.
And the weather stayed fine, despite a torrid forecast, for those taking part in the parade and the crowning ceremony and fairground fun afterwards.
Gala chairwoman Sophie Williams said: “The police horses were a big hit leading the parade.
“The funds raised, and any others we raise through the year, will be put towards next year’s event – we try and aim for bigger and better every year.
“The weather was really good the children had a great day as well.”
A crowning ceremony was held at Staining village hall following the parade.
