Fylde's restaurant creates 15 new jobs at complex

A new restaurant launching at the AFC Fylde Mill farm scheme has created 15 new jobs.

Milano’s Mediterranean restaurant is the jewel in the crown of Mill Farm Sports Village, and offers a relaxed and informal dining experience that caters to all tastes.

Featuring a Giotto Cuppone pizza oven costing more than £12,000, the diner can enjoy a revolving stone based pizza cooked right in front of their eyes, not to mention being immersed in the delicious smell of fresh cooked pizza dough.

In another first for the Fylde, Milano’s offers Cicchetti – Italy’s own version of tapas including such treats as crayfish tacos, perfect for sharing with a bottle of the beautiful Bottega prosecco.

Restaurant manager Matthew Nicholson, formerly of Gilpin Lodge said: “Milano’s is incredibly versatile.

“Catering for everything from a light bite with friends or work colleagues, to a three- course dining experience with 28-day aged steaks, the quality of the light, fresh and modern interior design is reminiscent of some of the best restaurants in London or Manchester.

“From a tucked away booth to dining at the bar, the floor-to-ceiling windows,chic design and relaxed environment makes this the perfect dining experience for everything from a first date to a dinner with family.”

The new £18m Mill Farm Sports Village inWesham. created around 80 jobs.

The leisure, entertainment and sports venue has received more than 700 applications for key roles in security, sales, hospitality and maintenance. As well as the sports pitches and football ground it features offices a supermarket, bars and a fuel station.
