A BLACKPOOL policeman has been charged with drug dealing, the Independent Police Complaints Commission has confirmed.

PC Thomas Hatton, a section officer based at Bispham police station, has been charged with 11 offences.

They include being concerned in the supply of cannabis, possessing anabolic steroids with intent to supply and perverting the course of justice.

The 24-year-old was suspended by Lancashire Police in May.
