Fylde coast graphics firm in Jurassic game trailer

A Fylde Coast firm has been called in to produce the trailer for a new video game based on the global blockbuster franchise Jurassic Park.

Computer games are huge business and leading titles come with sophisticated cinematic cut-scenes and trailers.

Westby-based Realtime UK has been called in to make the teaser film to advertise the launch of Jurassic World Evolution which is due for release next summer.

It is timed to coincide with a new Jurassic Park film – Fallen Kingdom due out in June and allows players to build their own dinosaur theme park.

Game maker Frontier Developments which made the successful Elite Dangerous game, called on Realtime after being impressed with its work on that earlier title.

Tony Prosser, managing director at Realtime UK said: “We’ve been trusted with some huge franchises over the years but we’re all especially proud to have been asked to create such an exciting marketing trailer for such a monumental movie franchise.

“As you can imagine there were a number of stakeholders involved in each phase of approval – from the team at Frontier who are developing the game to Universal Studios and Amblin Entertainment who own the franchise.

“I’m delighted to report that the feedback throughout the process was extremely positive and all parties are delighted with the end result.

“Our trailer achieved over seven million views in its first two days of launch which is a new record for our studio.

“We’re just coming to the end of our 21st year and it’s been our greatest so far – we’ve added more great clients to both the automotive and video games side of business.

“We’ve started our first few projects in the world of visual effects for TV and completed our first in-engine production for Amazon to help demonstrate their new games engine, Lumberyard.”

Realtime UK specialises in 3D graphics for commercials,marketing trailers,video effects and computer graphics imagery. It’s customers include the likes of Volkswagen, Bentley and Aston Martin.
