Lancashire Day proclamation was read out for the first time in Poulton while Blackpool town crier Barry McQueen rallied the people of Blackpool at the town hall.
The Proclamation dates from the year 1295 when the first elected representatives from Lancashire were called to Westminster by King Edward I.

The statement proudly describes the historic boundaries of the County of Lancashire, from the Furness Fells to the Mersey, and from the Irish Sea to the Pennines.
