The funeral of former Deputy Mayor of Blackpool Tony Brown will be held on Monday November 14 at 11am at Carleton Crematorium.
Coun Brown, who was 79, died on Sunday October 16 after being taken ill while he was on a cruise with his wife Angela.
He had represented Warbreck ward on Blackpool Council since 2000 and was Deputy Mayor of the town in 2015 when his fellow Conservative councillor Peter Callow was Mayor.
Coun Brown’s family is asking for donations to be made in his memory to the British Heart Foundation, if mourners wish to do so.
Following his death, tributes were paid by fellow councillors from both main political parties who described Coun Brown as a hard-working and respected member of the local authority.
