There will be chance to get a sweat on – despite the poor weather – and help a good cause tomorrow at Village Urban Resort, Heron’s Reach, Blackpool.

A group fitness day is taking place, with members and non-members welcome, and various classes taking place throughout the day, from 9.30am, in aid of Blackpool children’s charity Donna’s Dream House.

There will be guest instructors from across the country, joining the Village Blackpool team, to lead exercise sessions in the latest Les Mills releases – including BodyCombat,
BodyPump, BodyAttack, BodyJam and BodyBalance.

An all-day spinathon will also be taking place between 9.30 and 4.30pm.

There will also be a fuel and hydration station, massage and fitness advice.

Those attending are asked to give a minimum £5 donation for the charity.

The idea behind the event, now in its third year, is to celebrate group fitness and encourage people to try different forms of exercise – by demonstrating it can be fun, while raising money for a local good cause.

Last year, close to 100 people took part in the fitness day, raising hundreds of pounds for Trinity Hospice and the Hospice Heroes Appeal.

The event is open to everyone.
