Blackpool FC Community Trust successfully delivered its Easter Sports Camps and Inclusion Camp last week.
The Trust ran four different Sports Camps across Blackpool and an Inclusion Camp for children who have disabilities.
Sports Camps were delivered at Hawes Side Primary, Marton Primary Academy, Unity Academy and Norbreck Primary Academy whilst the Inclusion Camp was run at Fylde Rugby Club.
Over 200 different children got involved over the Easter half-term where Trust coaches provided fun and exciting activities all week including football, dodgeball, handball, arts and crafts, dance and much more.
Blackpool FC players Brad Potts, Dean Lyness, Jamille Matt, Arnand Gnanduillet, Myles Boney and Sam Slocombe made special visits to Sports Camps and Inclusion Camp, much to the delight of the children.
The players got involved in penalty shoot-outs and in a ‘Q&A’. Trust’s Senior Health and Education Officer Marc Joseph was delighted with yet another brilliant Sports Camps.
Marc said, “We’ve been delivering Sports Camps for a number of years and the numbers we attract are truly brilliant.
The children really enjoy themselves and the parents are delighted with us because not only do we provide a safe environment but we deliver fun activities all day.”
Blackpool FC Community Trust will be running Sports Camps in the May and June half-term holidays.
