After Chris Hudson and Louise Wallace tied the knot in the Blackpool Tower ballroom, they had their wedding vows blessed in the Tower Dungeon – an appropriate setting in more ways than one.

Not only did it seem to fit in perfectly with the notoriety of the date, but it was where the couple, from central Blackpool, found love five years ago.

Romantic Chris is an actor in the Tower Dungeon and confesses it was love at first sight when he spotted Louise as he was performing in one of his shows.

Two years after their first meeting, he proposed and the couple had no doubts about where they wanted their big day to take place.

Chris, 36, said: “We met on a tour of the dungeon, when Louise saw me in the Viking show.

“I must have made an impression because she told her friend she liked the look of me – and it was certainly a case of love at first sight for me.

“We wanted a wedding that was all about our passions – Blackpool, Blackpool Tower and the dungeon.

“It is a place close to our hearts, where we met, where I proposed and it seemed only right to bless our marriage there. It may be an odd choice for others but the perfect one for us.”

Louise, 39, said: “Chris is an old romantic and very caring. Our wedding day was all we wished for and I’m so happy.”

Kenny Mew, general manager at the Tower, said: “It was our first Dungeon-themed wedding and we are so happy for them.”
