Former Blackpool tapas bar to become grill

The former Espanol Toro tapas bar in Corporation Street, next to Lloyds Bank, is set to become a bar and grill.

The new owners have decided to call it The Bank, playing on the building’s former heritage.

A planning application has been submitted to Blackpool Council by Alex Lonorgan for an illuminated sign for the restaurant, at the site at 28 Corporation Street, which used to be one of the two Toast eateries on the Fylde Coast.

The steel sign will be powder-coated to protect it from the sea air and will replace a current sign.
