A man assaulted a holiday park security guard after being asked to leave the bar.

Kevin Vickers had been spotted crawling over the roof of the bar and was not a resident at Fleetwood’s Cala Gran Holiday Park.

Vickers, a 28-year-old groundworker, of Northumberland Avenue, North Shore, pleaded guilty to assault,

He was sentenced to a 12 months community order by Blackpool magistrates.

Martine Connah, prosecuting, said when asked to leave, Vickers accused a security guard of having his keys before lunging forward and punching him on the head on September 19.

Gerry Coyle, defending, said Vickers was injured himself during the incident. Vickers had an alcohol problem and needed help.
