Firefighters rush to home near Preston after roof goes up in flames

The roof of a house in Newton-with-Clifton went up in flames in the early hours of the morning.

Four fire engines from Wesham, South Shore, Penwortham and Preston rushed to the scene in Moor Hall Lane at around 5.05am today (December 4).

Crews equipped with breathing apparatus and an aerial ladder platform doused the flames using a water jet.

No injuries have been reported.

Firefighters were at the scene for approximately eight hours.
