Firefighters rescue woman trapped in lift at Glendower Hotel in St Annes

A fire crew rescued a woman stuck in a lift at a hotel in St Annes this afternoon.

Firefighters rescue woman trapped in lift at Glendower Hotel in St Annes

An electrical fault in the lift at Glendower Hotel on North Promenade meant the woman was trapped for about 10 minutes.

Firefighters from St Annes went to help staff members at the hotel to release her at around 2.40pm.

Crew manager Darren Bowers said: “We went to someone who was stuck in a lift at Glendower Hotel on the Promenade at St Annes.

“We just released her from the lift. No one was injured. We were there for about 10 minutes in total.

“The staff had already started the process of releasing her from the lift.

“There was an electrical fault in the lift and an engineer was on his way by the time we got there.”
