Firefighters battle house blaze for nearly four hours in Blackpool

Emergency services raced to the scene of a house blaze in Carsluith Avenue at around 1.20am today (August 7).
On arrival, crews found the fire was ripping through one of the bedrooms of the property.

Hide AdFirefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels, a triple extension ladder and some lighting equipment to extinguish the flames.
One casualty, who was believed to have been suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation, was handed over to the care of paramedics at the scene.
A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters from Blackpool were called to reports of a fire involving a domestic property on Carsluith Avenue, Blackpool.
"On arrival they found the fire involved a bedroom at the property."
"Firefighters were in attendance approximately four hours."
