Firefighters battle chip pan blaze in Fleetwood

Paramedics rushed one casualty to hospital.

Three fire engines were called in to tackle the blaze in Abbotts Walk.

Wearing breathing masks firefighters battled the flames for over an hour today at 1.10am.

A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: "This was a fire involving a chip pan and crews used four breathing apparatus, one hose reel and positive ventilation unit to extinguish the fire."
