ARE you tough enough to take on a fire service challenge?

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service has launched its annual event to raise vital funds for the Fire Fighters Charity.

The Tough Enough Challenge will see participants put themselves through the gruelling training usually endured by the fire service’s recruits in a bid to rake in funds for the charity.

The service claim this year’s event – being held at the training centre in Chorley on Saturday, June 30 – is “bigger, tougher and better” than ever before, and it’s looking for people to get involved.

In a bid to encourage people to take part the fire service have reduced the entry fee for the event, added new challenges and slashed the minimum amount of sponsorship participants need to raise.

All the cash will go to the Fire Fighters Charity, who provide service to enhance the quality of life for serving and retired fire service personnel.
