Fire crews assist in horse rescue
Firefighters were called to help rescue a horse which had become trapped in mud
The incident happened in a field of Moss House Lane in Westby at around 9am on Saturday.
Specialist firefighters from South Shore were involved in the rescue alongside a crew from Penwortham.
The horse was sedated by a vet before being pulled from the mud.
