Two fire engines from Bispham and Fleetwood rushed to a domestic property in Styan Street shortly before 12.20pm yesterday (September 6).

Flames were ripping through an extractor fan in the kitchen of the property when firefighters arrived at the scene.

One casualty received first aid treatment from fire crews prior to the arrival of ambulance crews.

Two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one ventilation unit and some small tools were used to extinguish the fire

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service say they were at the scene for approximately one hour and thirty minutes.
