Fire crew out on training exercise

Four fire engines and specialist machinery filled a Marton street for crews to carry out training.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue officials confirmed the scene at Cornford Road, Marton, was an opportunity for crews to train and not an emergency incident yesterday.

The training went on from 1.30pm to around 5pm.

The exercise saw firefighters take on a mock chemical spill scene,using specialist machinery thatwould be used in the event of a chemical spillage or incident.
