Blackpool Carers Centre is hosting its second annual Care Fest on August 24 to help raise money and awarness for carers in Blackpool.

There will be performances from four acts including rock group Lucky Escape, Frankly the Sinatra Story, singer Dawn Christy and Smooth Chalk.

As well as the entertainment there will be ice cream and sweet stands and a raffle.

The event takes place from 6pm to 10pm at the charity’s headquarters at Beaverbrook House on Newton Drive.

Michelle Smith, CEO of Blackpool Carers Centre said: “We’re all very excited about our second annual Care Fest.

“We will build on the success of last year’s event by showcasing some great local music, while we raise awareness about carers in Blackpool and hopefully a bit of money to continue supporting them.

“It’s sure to be a fantastic day for the whole family, whether we’re bathed in sunshine or enjoying a bit of drizzle in our wellies.”

The charity provides a range of services including emotional and practical support, to enhance the lives of unpaid carers of all ages throughout Blackpool.

Tickets are £5 for adults and £2.50 for children.
