Ferry cancelled for safety reasons

Storm Ali's approach has meant the cancellation of the Fleetwood to Knott End ferry.

The forecast high winds have prompted Wyre Borough Council to cancel the ferry crossings.

The Met Office has issued an amber warning and said that the winds could cause problems along the coast with injuries and danger to life from large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties
