A designer fashion and footwear store is the latest to open at Blackpool’s Houndshill Shopping Centre.
Footasylum joins Menkind, Bowtique, Room and Phone Inn who are also recent additions to the centre.
Further changes include the relocation of Trespass, which is now trading from a larger unit within the mall.
There are also further plans for the relocation of Perfect Nails which is moving to a larger unit.
There are currently 66 fully let units at Houndshill.
And enquiries from other major high street retailers are currently being discussed, with the centre team saying they are set to release the new names in 2015.
The refurbishments to improve the canopy area on Victoria Street have also commenced, with the regeneration work set to see the repainting of the main metal structure, installation of a new poly carbonate roof and the introduction of LED strip lighting to the underside of the existing canopy.
The refurbishment is part of the ongoing bid to produce a high quality shopping experience.
Debbs Lancelott, Houndshill centre manager said: “The new retailers are excellent additions and have strengthened the centre’s appeal as a great attraction within the Blackpool area.
“The opening of stores such as Footayslum, Menkind and Bowtique add to the broad and high quality offer already in place and puts Houndshill on the map as a fantastic shopping destination.”
Retailers are generally trading well at Houndshill, and are now envisaging a busy Christmas season, she added.
Lettings agents for the scheme are Lunson Mitchenall and CBRE.
