Families scored a fun day

More than 600 people enjoyed a family fun day held by Blackpool FC Community Trust.

The event was held outside the Bloomfield Road stadium just behind the North Stand prior to Blackpool FC’s 3-1 victory over Oxford United.

A variety of activities were held during the day, including mega football, penalty shoot-outs, and face-painting.

Blackpool FC Community Trust’s marketing officer Lauren Cholmondeley was delighted with how the event turned out.

Lauren said: “The event was a huge success and we had over 600 people attend.

“Thank you to all the families who came along and took part.

“We hope you all had fun and can join us again next time.”

Families across Blackpool joined in with the family fun.

Patrick Neary, 46, was full of praise for the event.

Patrick said: “It’s been a fantastic day.

“My children got involved with all the activities and my wife Jodie also loved the event.

“We watched the Blackpool game afterwards and it was a terrific performance.

“I’d like to say a big thanks to Blackpool FC Community Trust.”
