Face of man suspected of tying up and robbing woman

Police have released a computer image of a man suspected of tying up a woman and and robbing her in her home.

The crime took place between 7 and 8pm on July 11, when two men entered a flat on Spencer Court, Blackpool.

They tied up the homeowner, a woman in her 50s, before cracking open a safe and stealing a large amount of money, as well as a mobile phone.

They then fled the property leaving the woman tied up. She managed to free herself before calling the police.

The first offender is described as white, in his late 20s to early 30s, with a slim build. He was wearing a light-coloured woollen beanie hat.

The second man is described as black, in his early 30s, with short dark hair. He was wearing a black leather jacket and dark trousers.

Detective constable Kirsty Taylor, of Lancashire police, said: “This was a particularly nasty incident which left the victim very shaken.

“Two men have entered a property, tied up the homeowner and stolen a large amount of money.

“Following investigation, we have released an EvoFit image of one of the suspects.

“If you recognise this individual we would urge you to contact police immediately.”

This is the first time police have released details of this crime.
