Extra tickets on sale for Rod
Organisers of the Bloomfield Road show, Cuffe and Taylor, have released 1,000 extra tickets to try and meet what they describe as “phenomenal demand” for the concert on June 20.
So far, 25,000 general sale tickets have been snapped up, and the remaining hospitality, coach and hotel packages are also selling fast.

Hide AdPeter Taylor, concert director of Cuffe and Taylor, said: “We have seen phenomenal demand for tickets.
“Blackpool had sold out of general admission tickets completely, with only VIP tickets, as well as coach and hotel packages, still available. And they’re selling quickly. Because of the exceptional demand, we’ve looked again at the layout of the staging and production areas.
“This has enabled us to release some additional ‘production’ seats to meet the demand. And we’re confident these will sell out quickly.”
The concert forms part of a tour visiting four football stadia and a cricket ground.

Hide AdRod will open the tour in Brighton and Hove Albion’s Amex Stadium on June 13 this year.
He follows that with Stoke on June 14 and then Blackpool on June 20.
He will perform songs from his 29th and latest album, the hit Time, which is an autobiographical work and includes the nostalgic love song Brighton Beach, about his early life.
The concerts are a major coup for Lancashire-based Cuffe and Taylor, which has a growing reputation for delivering major music events, including the annual Lytham Proms weekend which attracts top performers and thousands of people to the Fylde coast every year.

The money raised will be put together with a £280,000 grant from the Department of Health to pay for the biggest refurbishment in Trinity’s history at its Low Moor Road site. The Hospice Heroes appeal total now stands at more than £150,000.
