A former army doctor who says he was fired after he questioned the official verdict on the death of weapons expert David Kelly has been given permission to take the Ministry of Defence to an employment tribunal.
Dr Stephen Frost had been based at Weeton army barracks, near Blackpool, but was dismissed in 2013.
Following the death of David Kelly, he said he had raised concerns about the dispensing of strong painkillers at an army base.
He claims that he was dismissed after speaking out about the issues.
A judge has now ruled that he can test his case before a full employment tribunal, most likely to be heard in the summer.
