Everyone's role in ending exploitation
'˜Everyone has a role to play in raising awareness of child sexual exploitation' (CSE) '“ that's the message from the Blackpool safeguarding board.
Awaken, Blackpool’s specialist CSE team is conducting an awareness raising campaign that aims to highlight the issues surrounding CSE and encourage everyone to speak out.
It will be held on the Comedy Carpet between 12-4pm today and tomorrow. CSE is a form of child abuse where a victim is given something - often food, money, drugs, alcohol, other gifts or just attention and affection – in exchange for sexual activity with the abuser.
