Britain’s leading first aid charity is on the look-out for ‘everyday heroes’ in the run-up to its annual inspiring awards.

St John’s Ambulance, which teaches youngsters vital life-saving skills and helps the NHS with 999 emergency calls, is set to hold its annual Everyday Heroes awards in September next year.

Each year we hear inspiring stories from people who have done extraordinary things

People across the Fylde coast are being invited to nominate friends, family members, and even strangers who have saved lives or spread first aid awareness.

Heather Arrowsmith, regional director of St John’s Ambulance, said: “Everyone has the ability to save a life and our Everyday Heroes award gives us the chance to celebrate the people who are doing that,

“Each year we hear inspiring stories from people who have done extraordinary things.”
