Entrepreneur to talk at women's day event

A Blackpool-based women in business organisation is to stage an event to mark Women's Entrepreneurship Day.

And guest speaker will be a former businesswoman of the year who will tell the story of the founding of her multi-million pound business.

The Pink Link Ladies Network which has its HQ at Squires Gate, is hosting the day during Global Entrepreneurship Week which runs from November 14 - 20.

The all-day conference at Wyre Bank Conference Centre, on the banks of Lancashire canal basin in Garstang, will be for women in business across the North West to network and build connections with like-minded women, do business and be inspired.

Guest speaker, Emma Elston MBE will be taking centre stage to discuss how she set up UK Container Maintenance which repairs and refurbishes waste containers.

Since then, Emma has become a UK-leading voice in the waste and manufacturing industry, blazing a trail for women in the often male-dominated industry. Her determination to succeed has also been carefully balanced with her deep understanding and empathy for those in need and those scared to take that first leap into business.

Global Entrepreneurship Week will see thousands of events in over 160 countries inspire millions to engage in entrepreneurial activity while connecting them to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors.

The venue will be host to women who will be exhibiting their wares from prosecco vans to vintage teas, solicitors to sign makers there will be a huge array of female talent under one roof.
