Elderly woman suffers minor injuries after fall 'caused by wind'
An elderly woman suffered minor head injuries after falling due to strong winds in Blackpool.
Ambulance services were called to Bank Hey Street at 1.50pm today.
A spokesman said: "It was reported that the wind had caused the fall.
"She was bleeding, but not seriously, from her head."
The woman was taken by ambulance to a local walk-in centre.
