An elderly woman suffered injuries to her shoulder and face after colliding with a car on a zebra crossing.
The incident happened at 10.05am on St Annes Road West, St Annes causing major delays in the town centre.
A Lancashire Police spokesman said: “The elderly woman has fortunately only suffered minor injuries.
“She has hurt her shoulder and has cuts to her face.
“The driver stopped at the scene but delays in traffic were caused as paramedics checked to see the woman was okay.”
An ambulance was on the scene and took the woman to hospital to be checked over.
The driver involved was driving a silver Ford Fiesta.
The road in the busy town centre was reopened by police at 11.30am.
