Hundreds of apprenticeships are up for grabs at a special council jobs fair tomorrow.

The event, which is being held at the Blackpool’s Central Library, based in Queen Street, between 10am and 4pm, is open to all 15-24 year olds.

Jobs in sports and leisure, social care, engineering and many more are available to apply for on the day.

Employers at Blackpool and the Fylde College, Blackpool Council, and NHS Blackpool will be on hand to speak to job hunters.

Training providers North Lancs Training Group and the National Apprenticeship Service will also be at the event.

Blackpool Council’s cabinet member for children’s services, Coun Sarah Riding, said: “There are lots of young people in Blackpool who are desperate to find a job and start working but are find it difficult to get the initial support needed to enter employment.

“I would encourage as many people as possible to come down to the library and make the most all the job opportunities.”
