A TABLOID sensation is set to appear on a Fylde coast high street as she shares her life story with the world.
Singer turned reality star Kerry Katona will stage a signing at Kirkham bookshop Silverdell in November, giving fans the chance to meet the Queen of the Jungle.
The Poulton Street shop’s co-owner Elaine Silverwood said she was “thrilled” to be welcoming the star, who won the hearts of the British public when she won ITV’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! back in 2004, but has since been involved in a series of tabloid scandals.
The event coincides with the publication of Katona’s autobiography, Kerry Katona: The Autobiography.
Elaine said: “I was really thrilled to be offered the opportunity of hosting a signing event at Silverdell with Kerry Katona. Obviously she’s always in the news and I think it will draw quite a crowd because there will be lots of people interested in meeting her and buying her book.”
The book is former Atomic Kitten Katona’s second autobiography after Too Much, Too Young, which was published in 2006.
She said: “Writing this book is proving to be really tough as it covers the period when I was at my lowest ebb.
“It’s incredibly therapeutic though and I hope it will in some small way help inspire others who might be going through difficult times to keep fighting no matter what.
“But I’m making sure it’s not all tears – there are plenty of laughs in there too.”
n The event, between 1pm and 2pm on Friday November 2, is by ticket only – tickets cost £18.99 each including a hardback copy of the book.
