Children at Mereside Primary School who bang their heads will now have a wristband attached to their arms so parents are aware of the injury.

The school, in Langdale Avenue, said the move would ensure parents know of the injury in case the usual letter sent home “is lost in the bottom of your child’s bag”.

Banged heads can lead to concussion, and need to be watched carefully.
