Staff at Blackpool and The Fylde College sent out a message of congratulations to its students celebrating their A-Level results.

Catherine Hill, deputy principal, at Blackpool and The Fylde College, said: “Many congratulations to all students across Blackpool and the Fylde who are celebrating their A-Level results.

“The College is extremely proud of its students who studied A-Level and equivalent vocational courses and have received outstanding results.

“We are currently on course to surpass last year’s 99 per cent pass rate for our Level 3 Extended Diplomas, with more than two-thirds already achieving the high grade rate.

“I’m particularly encouraged to see such a high proportion of our students progressing to prestigious universities to pursue their careers, or staying on at our own University Centre to study professional technical employer-led degrees.

“September 2015 hails an exciting new era for the College with a partnership between ourselves and Lytham St Annes Technology and Performing Arts College to deliver a range of A-Levels and A-Level equivalent Extended Diplomas at the new Lytham Sixth Form College.”
