A drunken mother-of-two was seen climbing onto the bonnet of a van by a witness.

Carly Turner then tried to get onto the vehicle’s roof, but slid down and damaged a windscreen wiper by bending it.

I apologise

Turner, a 25-year-old student, of Freckleton Street, Kirkham, pleaded guilty to causing damage. Pam Smith, prosecuting, said a witness saw Turner climb onto the bonnet of a VW van parked on Rydal Avenue, Blackpool on July 12.

After damaging the van’s wiper, Turner walked off down the street with two other woman.

Turner told magistrates: “I apologise.”

She was given a 12- month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £30 compensation with a £150 court charge plus £15 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.
