ORGANISED crime gangs have been targeted as part of the war on drugs.
Police swooped at 35 addresses across the Fylde coast, made 18 arrests and uncovered terrifying taser guns as well as deadly crack cocaine and heroin.
Neighbours today described their fear at living in what they dubbed a “scary and dangerous” area.
Two cannabis factories were discovered and a haul of amphetamine seized during the raids.
Officers also recovered £3,000 in cash as 35 search warrants were executed in streets including Horsebridge Road, Buchanan Street, Reads Avenue and Coronation Street.
The cannabis factories were uncovered at properties on Park Road and Dickson Road containing a total of 150 plants. Addresses in South Shore, Layton, North Shore, Warbeck, Grange Park and central Blackpool were among those targeted, along with properties in King Edward Avenue, St Annes, and Porter Street in Kirkham.
Suspected stolen property including laptops, televisions and stereos were also recovered and two taser guns and a car were seized.
