Police seized drugs in a raid at a St Annes house after being tipped off by neighbouring residents.
Acting on intelligence received from members of the community, officers entered the property on Kirkdale Avenue at around noon today under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
A quantity of drugs and drug paraphernalia were seized and an individual is under police investigation.
Visits were carried out in the community to reassure them that drug activity and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated.
PS Billy Giffin said: “We encourage our communities to continue to report criminal behaviour and we will act in the strongest way possible where appropriate.”
If you have information relating to drug activity please call police on 101, or 999 in an emergency. Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at Crimestoppers-uk.org.
