Driver reported after Mercedes smashes into traffic lights
A motorist has been reported for driving without due car and attention after a Mercedes hit traffic lights in Preston New Road, police said.
Pictures taken by road policing officers showed the damage to both the black car, which had to be taken away on the back of a recovery truck, and the lights, which were left at a 45 degree angle – but remarkably still worked.
The crash happened at the junction with Clifton Road at around 1am today.
