An elderly driver had to be cut free from her car after it struck a stationary bin wagon.
Firefighters removed the roof of the Honda Jazz to release the 80-year-old woman from the vehicle following the accident on Ballam Road in Lytham, close to the junction with Peg’s Lane.
She was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital by ambulance but her injuries were not believed to be serious.
A third car, a Kia Sportage, collided with the back of the Honda.
Its driver, a 41-year-old woman from Lytham St Annes, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
The incident happened just after 10am on Friday.
