Dressed to impress at end of year prom

It's one of the biggest nights of their young lives - and youngsters from schools across the Fylde coast well and truly pushed the boat out for the end of year Proms.

St Aidan's prom was held at The Village Hotel in Blackpool on Tuesday, 26th June and was attended by over 130 students and staff.

Youngsters from St George’s High in Marton, Carr Hill in Kirkham and St Aidan’s in Preesall got dressed to impress for their recent shindigs.

Glitzy ballgowns were the order of the evening for the girls, while the lads put on their best suits to dress to impress.

Some youngsters even turned up in a hired limo for the evening as the UK increasingly replaces the traditional end-of-school disco with the glittery American prom tradition.

And schools pulled out all the stops to provide their former pupils with a night to remember for the rest of their lives.
